Changes in free usage of My tipsters feed
Dear Blogabet members,

During December and January the site experienced high server loads in the weekends. There was serious lag and slow loading for many hours especially in the afternoons EU time.

Our devs have found the cause to be rooted in the My tipster feed settings and the fact that we did not have any limitations in usage there. Thus over the years many of you have accumulated thousands of tipsters to follow in your personalized feed, which of course results in more complex and very heavy quiries to our databases.

In last 2-3 weekends we have tested a solution and have been able to completely resolve the problem by deploying additional computational resources, but unfortunately that comes at a high cost additional cost.

That is why we have no option, but to introduce paid plans for the My tipsters feed so that those members that use a lot of resources will pay proportionally for them.


The new settings for My tipster feed are as follows:

FREE PLAN
you can add/follow up to 100 tipsters for free

BASIC PLAN
to increase number to 300 tipsters the price is as low as 2 EUR per month (with anual purchase)

PRO PLAN
to increase number to 1000 tipsters the price is roughly 6 EUR per month (with anual purchase)


For the moment it will not be possible to follow more than 1000 tipsters in your personalized feed. In next weeks we will evaluate the effects from the changes and if it will be feasible to launch a higher package, i.e. for following up 3000 tipsters, it will be announced additionally.


In following days we will also roll improvements in My tipsters list so that you can identify which blogs have not been active for long time and clean them easily from your list in order to free up slots for new tipsters.
